So close, so disappointing
The idea of cute zip off pants has historically been an oxymoron, which made me SO excited when OV started making them. However, they have two major flaws. First, the leg that zips off isn’t wide enough to go over your shoe, so you have to take your shoes off to change pant length. Could be so easily solved by looser bungee ankle or a zipper up the side (which most REI zip offs have). Second, the material does not hold up. Pilled like crazy within a month of normal wear. Washed on cold and air dried. Sadly, can’t recommend.

fav outdoor pants
I love these pants I where them all the time when I am being active outside. Whether it is hiking or cutting wood these pants have never let me down. The zip off features are perfect for stream crossings or cold deep in a cave.

Too long
A lot to like about these pants but didn't quite make the cut. I'm 5'3", length was too long. I could've cuffed the pant then but it just didn't look flattering. very versatile in terms of style, long, capri, short, great features, lots of pockets, I really liked the shorts version and was tempted to keep for that reason only but didn't think the cost warranted. Also a little snug in the waist. Plus I remember I already had a navy blue travel pant that was close to this style and was more comfortable.

Buy these pants!!
I'm obsessed! The material is both study and soft and the fit is amazing. I'm a pretty consistent size 25 jean and purchased the small. They fit like a dream and are so comfortable. They're for an upcoming trip to Italy and will be perfect for truffle hunting but also cute enough to wear in the city.

Love the length & durability of these pants, I’m 5’10 and it’s often difficult to find hiking pants long enough to reach my ankles. These would be my favorite, if they had better pockets. Why on god’s green earth are we making hiking pants without a back pocket or a front pocket deeper than an inch? This, unfortunately, is their fatal flaw that keeps me from reaching for them often when going hiking.
