    More Neutrals Please!

    The Rektrek pants & shorts are among the all-star best products in the OV lineup. Perfect for casual or dressing-up, it is versatile and suitable for every day wear, comfortable and convenient from lounging at home, to gardening, to going out, or going all the way to the airport and traveling for 28 hours straight. No joke, I basically live in these. People ask me all the time where I got my pants. My first pair of Rektrek held up so well in the wash that it looked the same as the day I got it for years before I bought another and now I own an embarrassing number of them. The material is sturdy enough to handle most types of activity, with enough stretch and versatility that you will reach for them all the time.

    That being said, *please please* OV make the Rektrek shorts in more neutral colors!! I am confused why men have navy and bone, but women do not. Not all women wear black as a neutral unless you live in NY. For many of us, it's not a soft enough neutral to fit our color palette. Neutral means you can wear this item all the time, every day of the week with any color top you choose. I would probably buy 2 pairs and wear them interchangeably (the same as I have with the pants). Flourescent orange, while it's a pretty color, means you can only wear them once every now and then--unless you have a particular type of personality where you like wearing really bright colors every day of the week. Some women are like that, but I wouldn't say it's the majority of us.

    I had high hopes for these shorts given the reviews. For reference, I hold most my weight in my legs and have a muscular build. I am also petite - 5'3. I usually buy a size large short, knowing the waist will be a bit big but hoping to have enough leg room.

    The waist of these shorts were fine, but the legs were form fitting when I was hoping for a looser fit. They also did not pass the thigh gobble test. If you have thinner legs, these shorts will be great. They did seem nice quality.

    These shorts are so awesome! I love OV because they have more stretch than other outdoor brands but still have the look and length. these shorts will be perfect for climbing, hiking, or whatever! They are thick like the pants so they will keep you warm whether you like that or not! They fit just like the rektrek pants!

    These shorts are really well made and nice quality, and they fit well but were just not flattering on me. They're also a heavier weight and were a little warm for Georgia summers. I actually thought about keeping them, but there's so many other OV stuff I really love, so they went back.

    I love the fit of these shorts so much! I own 2 pairs of the RecTrek pants so wanted to give these a try. I got the orange color and they are a lot more neon of an orange than I expected, but other than that they are great.
